Difficulty: π’ Beginner
Lesson 7 of 12
You’ve created and secured your WinVest account, reviewed the current investment plan, and purchased Bitcoin. You’re now ready to make your first investment.
For many first-time investors, sending Bitcoin for the first time is the part that creates the most uncertainty. The key is to take your time, follow the instructions displayed in your WinVest account, and carefully verify all transaction information before sending.
This guide walks you through the general process from creating your investment to seeing it become active.
π‘ What You’ll Learn
After reading this guide, you’ll understand:
β How to prepare before creating an investment
β How to create your investment through your WinVest account
β How to obtain the Bitcoin address for your investment
β How to send Bitcoin correctly
β Why you should save your Transaction ID (TXID)
β What blockchain confirmations are
β What to expect while your investment is awaiting activation
π Before You Begin
Before creating your first investment, make sure you have:
β Created your WinVest account
β Confirmed you can log in successfully
β Completed any required email verification
β Enabled Two-Factor Authentication
β Reviewed the Current Investment Plan
β Purchased enough Bitcoin (BTC) for your planned investment and applicable fees
β Confirmed your Bitcoin is available to send
If any of these steps are incomplete, consider completing them before continuing.
Taking a few extra minutes to prepare can help you avoid mistakes when sending cryptocurrency.
Step 1 β Review the Current Investment Plan
Before creating an investment, review the Current Investment Plan to confirm the latest information, including:
β Minimum investment amount
β Investment duration
β Current daily return
β Accepted funding currency
β Any current platform announcements or updates
Investment terms may change over time, so always verify the current plan before creating a new investment.
Step 2 β Create Your Investment
Log in to your WinVest account.
From your account dashboard:
- Open Make an Investment from the navigation menu.
- Review the investment plan currently displayed.
- Confirm the investment terms shown on the page.
- Under the available payment options, select how you want to fund the investment.
- Enter the amount you want to invest.
- Review your information carefully.
- Select Invest Funds to continue.
If you’re funding your first investment with Bitcoin from an external wallet or exchange, select the applicable Bitcoin funding option.
If you already have eligible funds available within your WinVest account, an Account Balance funding option may also be available. This is covered in more detail in Reinvesting Your Earnings.
π Important
Always follow the investment plan and instructions currently displayed within your WinVest account. The options, wording, and platform interface may change over time.
Step 3 β Obtain the Bitcoin Address for Your Investment
After creating an investment funded with external Bitcoin, WinVest will display the payment instructions needed to complete the transaction.
This will include the Bitcoin address where your BTC must be sent.
π Important
Always obtain the Bitcoin address directly from the investment process inside your WinVest account.
Do not use a Bitcoin address from an old transaction, screenshot, email, social media message, or another investor.
Do not manually type a Bitcoin address.
Copy the address directly from your account.
Before continuing, verify:
β The investment amount
β The Bitcoin address
β That you’re sending Bitcoin (BTC)
β That you’re using the correct Bitcoin network
Cryptocurrency transactions generally cannot be reversed once they have been sent.
Step 4 β Send Your Bitcoin
Open the cryptocurrency wallet or exchange where your Bitcoin is currently held.
The exact process varies by provider, but you’ll generally:
- Select Send or Withdraw.
- Paste the Bitcoin address provided by WinVest.
- Compare the first several and last several characters with the address displayed in your WinVest account.
- Enter the required Bitcoin amount.
- Confirm you’re sending Bitcoin (BTC).
- Review any applicable network or withdrawal fees.
- Review the entire transaction one final time.
- Submit the transaction.
Take your time during this step.
Once a cryptocurrency transaction is sent to the blockchain, it generally cannot be canceled or reversed.
For additional guidance, see How to Send Bitcoin and Understanding Bitcoin Addresses in the Crypto Academy.
Step 5 β Save Your Transaction ID (TXID)
After your Bitcoin transaction is submitted, your wallet or exchange should provide transaction information that includes a Transaction ID, commonly called a TXID.
The TXID is a unique identifier associated with your Bitcoin transaction.
We recommend saving it until your investment has been successfully activated.
If you ever need to investigate the status of the transaction or contact support about the payment, having the TXID available can make it easier to identify the transaction.
π Investor Tip
Keep a simple record containing:
β Investment date
β Investment amount
β Bitcoin amount sent
β TXID
You may find this helpful for your personal records and when tracking multiple investments.
Step 6 β Wait for Blockchain Confirmations
Sending Bitcoin doesn’t always mean the transaction is immediately complete.
After your transaction is broadcast to the Bitcoin network, it must receive blockchain confirmations.
During this period, your investment may appear as pending while the Bitcoin network processes and confirms the transaction.
Confirmation times can vary depending on network conditions and other factors.
π Important
Do not automatically send another payment simply because your investment hasn’t activated immediately.
First check the transaction status through your wallet or exchange.
For a detailed explanation, see Blockchain Confirmations in the Crypto Academy.
Step 7 β Investment Activation
Once the required payment processing and confirmations are complete, your investment should become active according to WinVest’s current procedures.
You should then be able to see information about your investment within your account, such as:
β Your active investment
β Investment amount
β Start date
β Investment status
β Progress through the investment cycle
β Earnings information
Daily earnings will then be credited according to the terms of the current investment plan.
Your next lesson, Understanding Your Dashboard, will explain how to monitor your account and investments.
β±οΈ What If My Investment Doesn’t Activate Immediately?
Don’t assume something is wrong simply because activation isn’t instantaneous.
A Bitcoin transaction may need time to receive the required blockchain confirmations.
If your investment remains pending longer than expected:
- Check your wallet or exchange to confirm the Bitcoin transaction was successfully sent.
- Locate your TXID.
- Check the transaction’s blockchain confirmation status if you’re familiar with doing so.
- Review any information displayed within your WinVest account.
- Contact official WinVest Support if additional assistance is needed.
Avoid sending a second payment unless you’re specifically instructed to do so through official support channels.
β Common Questions
Should I send another payment if my investment doesn’t appear immediately?
No.
First verify that your original Bitcoin transaction was successfully sent and check its confirmation status.
Keep your TXID available in case you need assistance.
What if I accidentally send the wrong amount?
Review the current instructions provided by WinVest or contact official support for guidance.
Do not automatically send another transaction unless instructed to do so.
What if I send Bitcoin to the wrong address?
Bitcoin transactions generally cannot be reversed.
This is why it’s extremely important to verify the destination address before submitting the transaction.
Can I close my browser after sending Bitcoin?
Generally, yes.
Once your wallet or exchange has successfully broadcast the transaction to the Bitcoin network, blockchain processing continues independently.
Keep your transaction information and TXID for your records.
How long does activation take?
Activation time may depend on Bitcoin network confirmations and WinVest’s current processing procedures.
Blockchain confirmation times can vary.
Can I create more than one investment?
Under the current plan, multiple investments may be created, with each investment tracked separately.
Each new investment begins its own independent investment cycle.
For a deeper explanation of how multiple investments and reinvesting work together, see Understanding Reinvesting & Compounding in the Knowledge Base.
β οΈ Things to Watch For
β Double-check every Bitcoin address before sending.
β Confirm you’re sending Bitcoin (BTC).
β Use the payment information displayed for your specific investment.
β Never reuse an old Bitcoin address unless WinVest specifically instructs you to do so.
β Save your TXID.
β Account for applicable Bitcoin network or provider fees.
β Don’t send a second payment simply because activation isn’t immediate.
β Never rush a cryptocurrency transaction.
β Avoid copying Bitcoin addresses from unofficial sources.
π‘ Investor Insight
Think of each investment you create as having its own individual timeline.
Your first investment begins its investment cycle when it becomes active.
If you later create another investmentβwhether with new Bitcoin or by reinvesting eligible fundsβthat new investment begins a separate cycle of its own.
As you create additional investments, you may eventually have several investments running simultaneously, each with different start and completion dates.
This becomes especially important when you begin reinvesting and considering when to withdraw available funds.
For a complete explanation, see Understanding Reinvesting & Compounding in the Knowledge Base.
π Investor Tips
β Take your time with your first Bitcoin transaction.
β Always obtain payment instructions directly from your WinVest account.
β Verify the Bitcoin address before sending.
β Keep your TXID until your investment is confirmed and active.
β Don’t worry if activation isn’t instantaneousβblockchain confirmations take time.
β Once your investment is active, familiarize yourself with how it appears on your dashboard.
β If you create additional investments later, remember that each one has its own independent timeline.
