Before you can receive a cryptocurrency withdrawal from WinVest, you need to provide WinVest with a valid receiving address for the cryptocurrency you want to receive.

WinVest currently supports Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC) as withdrawal options. Your BTC and LTC addresses come from your own cryptocurrency wallet or exchange — they are not created by WinVest.

This guide explains what a receiving address is, how to find yours, and some important precautions to take before entering it into your WinVest account.

Why WinVest Needs Your Receiving Address

Think of a cryptocurrency receiving address somewhat like an account number for receiving cryptocurrency.

When WinVest sends you Bitcoin, it needs to know the Bitcoin address where you want your BTC delivered.

When WinVest sends you Litecoin, it needs a Litecoin address where you want your LTC delivered.

These are two different cryptocurrencies running on different blockchains.

A Bitcoin address and a Litecoin address are NOT interchangeable.

Never enter your Bitcoin address in the Litecoin field or your Litecoin address in the Bitcoin field.

Important: Use the Native Bitcoin or Litecoin Network

This is particularly important with Litecoin.

For a WinVest Litecoin withdrawal, you want a receiving address for native Litecoin (LTC) on the Litecoin network.

You are NOT looking for Litecoin represented on another blockchain such as Solana, Ethereum, or another network.

Likewise, for Bitcoin, you want an address capable of receiving BTC on the Bitcoin network.

If your wallet or exchange asks you to select a network, stop and make sure you are selecting the network that matches the cryptocurrency being sent.

For WinVest:

Bitcoin withdrawal → BTC → Bitcoin network

Litecoin withdrawal → LTC → Litecoin network

Sending cryptocurrency over an incompatible network can result in the funds not reaching your account and, in some situations, they may be difficult or impossible to recover.

Finding Your Address in Exodus

Exodus supports both Bitcoin and Litecoin and makes finding your receiving address relatively simple.

Exodus Mobile

  1. Open your Exodus wallet.
  2. Select Wallet.
  3. Find and select Bitcoin (BTC) or Litecoin (LTC).
  4. Tap Receive.
  5. If Exodus gives you a network choice, make sure you have selected the correct native network for the cryptocurrency you are receiving.
  6. Exodus will display your receiving address and a QR code.
  7. Tap the Copy button to copy the address.

You can then paste that address into the appropriate BTC or LTC payout-address field in your WinVest account.

Exodus Desktop

  1. Open Exodus.
  2. Select Wallet.
  3. Select Bitcoin or Litecoin.
  4. Make sure the correct network is selected.
  5. Click Receive.
  6. Your receiving address will appear on the screen.
  7. Click the copy icon beside the address.

Exodus officially describes this same process as selecting the asset, choosing the appropriate network when necessary, and then using the address displayed under Receive.

Helpful Tip

If you don’t see Litecoin in Exodus, you may simply need to enable LTC in your list of assets.

Finding Your Address in Coinbase

If you want your WinVest withdrawal sent directly to Coinbase, you need your Coinbase receiving address, not an address from a previous transaction.

Coinbase Website

  1. Sign in to Coinbase.
  2. Select Receive.
  3. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to receive:
    • Bitcoin (BTC) for a Bitcoin withdrawal, or
    • Litecoin (LTC) for a Litecoin withdrawal.
  4. If Coinbase asks you to select a network, choose the network matching the asset being sent.
  5. Coinbase will display a QR code and receiving address.
  6. Select Copy to copy the address.

Coinbase Mobile App

  1. Open Coinbase.
  2. Select Transfer.
  3. Select Receive crypto.
  4. Choose Bitcoin (BTC) or Litecoin (LTC).
  5. Select the appropriate network if prompted.
  6. Your receiving address and QR code will appear.
  7. Tap the copy icon.

Coinbase warns users to make sure the sending and receiving networks match because cryptocurrency sent using an incorrect network may be lost.

Finding Your Address in Kraken

Kraken refers to receiving cryptocurrency into your account as making a crypto deposit.

Don’t let the word “deposit” confuse you. You are simply obtaining the address that allows WinVest to send cryptocurrency into your Kraken account.

  1. Sign in to Kraken.
  2. Select Deposit, or go to Transfer → Deposit.
  3. Search for the cryptocurrency you want to receive.
  4. Select Bitcoin (BTC) or Litecoin (LTC).
  5. Select the appropriate network when prompted.
  6. Kraken will provide the deposit/receiving address.
  7. Copy the address.

Kraken specifically warns users to deposit cryptocurrency only through a network supported for that particular asset.

Finding Your Address in Gemini

Gemini also supports Bitcoin and Litecoin.

  1. Sign in to your Gemini account.
  2. Select Transfer and then Receive, or use the Receive option in the Gemini app.
  3. Select the cryptocurrency you want to receive — BTC or LTC.
  4. Select or generate a destination/deposit address.
  5. Gemini will display the address and QR code.
  6. Copy the address and enter it into the corresponding WinVest payout field.

Gemini currently identifies BTC transfers as using the Bitcoin network and LTC transfers as using the Litecoin network.

Remember that an exchange deposit address is an address the exchange provides so cryptocurrency can be credited to your account. It does not mean that you control the exchange’s private keys.

Using Another Wallet or Exchange

You do not have to use Exodus, Coinbase, Kraken, or Gemini.

If you use another cryptocurrency wallet or exchange, the process is usually similar:

  1. Log in to your wallet or exchange.
  2. Find Receive, Deposit, or Receive Crypto.
  3. Select Bitcoin (BTC) or Litecoin (LTC).
  4. If asked to select a network, choose the native network corresponding to the cryptocurrency.
  5. Copy the receiving/deposit address that is displayed.
  6. Carefully paste it into the corresponding payout-address field in WinVest.

If you are uncertain about the network or address shown by your wallet or exchange, do not guess. Check the wallet/exchange’s support information before entering the address into WinVest.

Adding the Address to WinVest

Once you have copied the appropriate receiving address:

  1. Log in to your WinVest account.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Open Payout Methods.
  4. Locate the appropriate cryptocurrency payout-address field.
  5. Paste your BTC receiving address into the Bitcoin field.
  6. Paste your LTC receiving address into the Litecoin field.
  7. Carefully compare the address you pasted with the address displayed by your wallet or exchange.
  8. Complete any confirmation or security verification WinVest requests.
  9. Save your changes.

WinVest’s published FAQ currently directs members to Settings → Payout Methods to add or update cryptocurrency payout information.

Do I Need Both a BTC and LTC Address?

If your WinVest account is asking you to provide both, you should obtain a valid receiving address for each cryptocurrency from a wallet or exchange that supports them.

You can use the same wallet or exchange for both.

For example, an Exodus user can obtain:

BTC address → Bitcoin → Receive

and

LTC address → Litecoin → Receive

These will be two different addresses.

Adding an LTC address does not mean you have to use Litecoin for every withdrawal. It simply gives WinVest a valid Litecoin destination when an LTC payout is selected or required.

A Receiving Address Is NOT Your Private Key

This distinction is extremely important.

A cryptocurrency receiving address is designed to be shared with someone who needs to send cryptocurrency to you.

Your private key, recovery phrase, seed phrase, password and two-factor authentication codes should NEVER be given to WinVest, another member, a Global Representative, or anyone else.

WinVest only needs the public receiving address necessary to send your withdrawal.

Always Double-Check Before Saving an Address

Cryptocurrency transactions normally cannot simply be reversed after they have been sent.

Before saving an address in WinVest, verify:

Correct cryptocurrency: BTC or LTC?

Correct network: Bitcoin network for BTC or Litecoin network for LTC?

Correct address: Did you copy it directly from your wallet or exchange?

Correct field: Did you put the BTC address in the BTC field and LTC address in the LTC field?

Do not manually type a long cryptocurrency address if you can avoid it. Copy and paste reduces the chance of a typing error.

After pasting, it is still a good practice to compare several characters at the beginning and end of the address with the address displayed by your wallet or exchange.

One More Important Consideration When Using an Exchange

Wallets and exchanges do not all manage receiving addresses in exactly the same way.

Some exchanges may generate multiple deposit addresses or change how addresses are displayed over time. Coinbase, for example, states that an account may have multiple addresses associated with the same cryptocurrency.

Therefore, don’t assume that an address you copied months or years ago is necessarily the address you should enter today.

The safest practice is to open your wallet or exchange, select Receive/Deposit for BTC or LTC, and obtain the currently displayed receiving address directly from the provider.

If your exchange specifically tells you that an existing address remains valid, follow the exchange’s instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my Exodus wallet?

Yes. Exodus supports receiving both Bitcoin and Litecoin. Obtain the receiving address for the individual cryptocurrency you want WinVest to send.

Can I have WinVest send my withdrawal directly to an exchange?

If your exchange supports receiving the cryptocurrency and provides you with an appropriate deposit address, that address can generally be used to receive the transfer. Always follow the exchange’s current deposit instructions and network requirements.

Is Litecoin on the Solana network?

Native Litecoin is its own cryptocurrency and operates on the Litecoin network. For a native LTC withdrawal, you need an address capable of receiving LTC over the Litecoin network — not a Solana address.

Why does my Litecoin address look different from someone else’s?

Cryptocurrency addresses can use different valid address formats, so two legitimate LTC addresses do not necessarily begin with the same characters. Don’t determine whether an address is valid solely by comparing it with somebody else’s address.

Instead, obtain the address directly from the Litecoin Receive/Deposit screen of your wallet or exchange and verify that the selected network is Litecoin.

Do I have to already own Litecoin to get an LTC address?

Usually, no. A wallet or supported exchange can generally provide a receiving/deposit address even if your current LTC balance is zero. Provider requirements can vary.

Can I use my Bitcoin address for Litecoin?

No. Obtain a separate Litecoin receiving address.

Can I change my payout address later?

WinVest says payout addresses can be added or updated through Settings → Payout Methods, although security verification may be required when an address is changed.

The Bottom Line

Setting up your WinVest payout addresses is much easier once you understand what you’re looking for.

You are simply telling WinVest:

“If I withdraw Bitcoin, send it here.”

and

“If I withdraw Litecoin, send it here.”

Your wallet or exchange provides those addresses.

The most important rule is to make sure the cryptocurrency, network and receiving address all match before requesting a withdrawal.

When in doubt, stop and verify the information with your wallet or exchange before proceeding.
