Your WinVest PIN and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provide additional protection for your account. If you lose either one, the recovery procedure is different from simply resetting a forgotten password.

I Forgot My PIN

If you’ve forgotten your WinVest PIN, do not create another account.

To change, reset, or request a new PIN:

  1. Go to the WinVest Support Center.
  2. Submit a support request explaining that you need your PIN changed or reset.
  3. Include the information requested by WinVest for identity verification.
  4. Your request must include your security question and corresponding answer.

WinVest requires this verification for PIN change and reset requests to help protect your account.

Important

Your PIN is different from your WinVest password.

The normal Forgot Username or Password recovery process is therefore not the procedure for recovering a forgotten PIN.

I Lost My 2FA Secret Key or Authenticator Access

If you can still sign in to your WinVest account:

  1. Open Report an Issue in the member area.
  2. Select 2FA Reset.
  3. Complete the form with your username and the required verification information.
  4. Submit the request.

According to WinVest’s FAQ, your identity will be verified and the 2FA reset completed within 48 hours, followed by a confirmation.

What If 2FA Is Preventing Me From Signing In?

If you cannot access your account because 2FA is blocking the login, submit a 2FA reset request through the WinVest Support Center instead.

After your 2FA has been reset, enable 2FA again and securely save your new secret key and any backup information.

Security Reminder: Never give anyone your password, PIN or one-time authentication codes.
